Well, as some of you know, I'm going to be cosplaying as Jack Spicer from Xiaolin Showdown. I need some help. I have next to no clue what I'm going to do for the backpack. So, if any of you have any ideas could you please lend a hand?
Thanks much.

Nah well, anyway...
I'm a loser and don't watch Xiaolin Showdown, so I'm not completely familiar with the character design. Doing a Google search doesn't really help me to see what his backpack thingy looks like, but I think I may have an idea.
Looks like you may have to get a little creative for this one. As I said, I don't know the details of the design, but I think that for the straps that you could go to a variety fabrics store and seek out some strong striated material or pleather or whatever. For the skull, maybe you could find one about the right size from a Halloween store and hot glue it onto something and sew it on. I can't really see what the backpack itself looks like from these pics, but it looks like it may be dome-shaped. You may be able to paper mache it, buffer it with a sort of subcutaneous protective layer of foam, and then cover it with material.
Okay, maybe it's not very practical, but I hope it helps you some! XD

There may be light at the end of the tunnel but sometimes it\'s a train.

You should watch Xiaolin Showdown. It's the best show ever.
I went shopping with some of my friends yesterday and we thought of something. I was trying to avoid paper mache but that's not going to happen. I'm going to get a round garbage can lid and cover it in masking tape so the flap will stay shut. Then I'm going to paper mache the living crap out of it. Then paint it and spray it with something that will make it look no paper mached (if that even made any sense). We found some really cool brown belts at the dollar store yesterday so I think I'm going to use those for straps. And then I'm just going to skip the skull thingy.
Thanks for the help, though.
You should really watch this show. It's funny.

But that sounds cool, I'm glad that you found a solution. I bet you'll do an awesome job with it, 'specially since you seem to be quite the artisan.
I ordered a Misa (chickie from Death Note) cosplay outfit and wig, because I suck lots at trying to make my own stuff. I have to hand out candy on Halloween... Getting older sucks.
BTW, my brother kicked out one of the front windows at the high school a few days ago. I'm not sure if they fixed it yet or not. I couldn't be more proud of him, though. <3

When is Itzacon and how much is it? Hopefully we can run into each other at A-Kon. I'm definately going on Saturday and Sunday. I might be able to go on Friday after school. It really sucks that it happens during school because they had to go and change the schedule.
How/why did your brother kick out a window at the school?
